The whole vicinity is a bird’s paradise, there are 34 species of birds including 7 endemic species.

The bungalow is placed at the top of a hillock providing a panoramic birds eye view of the area. The location itself creates an ambiance of serenity and calmness, enhancing the scenic beauty of the surroundings.

The bungalow is a very safe place for a family on vacation and it's provided with appropriate security.

Electricity is provided from the main grid together with an ample supply of water from a unpolluted natural source.

The bungalow keeper or an experienced person will accompany you for a trek in the jungle covered with flora and fauna of the tropics. The bungalow cook is an expert in Sri Lankan cuisine. He has provisions for a basic meal but visitors are recommended to take their own provisions and refreshments for a meal of their choice. Refrigeration facilities are available

The bungalow has four spacious cosy rooms and one common sharing accommodation (Dome with six beds) fitted with fans, two halls, two attached toilets fitted with modern sanitary ware, hot water and a separate modern toilet at the rear together with a servant’s toilet, three eco type toilets. Pipe borne water is available. Fourteen beds are available and another ten persons could be accommodated comfortably on ground mattresses. The resort is managed by Kohilagahadeniya estate and seventy acre tea and rubber plantation which is situated five KM from the resort.

Bird watching
This fifteen acre land and its bordering jungle is a wild sanctuary for birds. The setting is ideal for bird watching with the bungalow on the hill top and scattered trees in the hill slopes &the fifteen Acer land. (Refer gust book.)

Jungle trekking
The bungalow is surrounded by the forest(6000 acres reserve forest in sinharaja buffer zone) visitors have direct access to he jungle from the resort any time of the day .Ideal location for Rain forest researchers.

Hiking
Eco jungle hideout is surrounded by mountains covered with the jungle giving a ideal setup for mountain climbers.

Bathing in natural water pools
The main stream of the jungle passes through Eco jungle hideout which contain many water poles and falls. One may not enjoy this facility in very dry seasons.

Play ground
Eco jungle hideout has its own play ground for cricket ,volley bal and jogging ect. Cycling is enjoyable in the resort and in the mountain roads. Visitors will have to bring their own bicycles.
